Baker College Online Reports 25.64 Percent Spring Quarter 2009 Enrollment Increase
Baker College Online officials today announced a 25.64 percent increase in 2009 spring quarter online enrollment compared to the same period in 2008. A total of 4,684 undergraduate students attended online classes exclusively during spring quarter 2009, with new student enrollment up 2.7 percent over last year.
“Our continued double-digit growth pattern indicates that individuals appreciate the flexibility, accessibility and affordability of a Baker College Online education,” said Dr. Julia Teahen, president, Baker College Online.
A total of 33,427 students throughout the Baker College system took Baker Online classes this spring quarter. This total includes:
* 5,609 students who took 100 percent of their classes online, including 4,684 undergraduate students and 925 graduate students * 7,504 students who took a combination of online classes and campus-based classes * 20,314 students who took campus-based classes that also included online coursework, a 40.58 percent increase over spring 2008Also announced today was a 19.8 percent spring quarter new student enrollment increase for Baker College Center for Graduate Studies over last year. A total of 925 students were enrolled at Baker Center for Graduate Studies this spring.
