MSIS Program At Baker College Center For Graduate Studies Receives Professional Science Masters Designation

FLINT, Mich. - Baker College Center for Graduate Studies officials today announced that its Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) program has received Professional Science Masters (PSM) designation by the Council of Graduate Schools.

"Students who earn a PSM degree have a definite advantage in today's competitive job market," said Michael E. Heberling, Ph.D., Baker College Center for Graduate Studies president. "We are thrilled to offer this prestigious program to Baker students. Congratulations to Dr. Scott Overmyer, Baker College Center for Graduate Studies MSIS program director, for all his hard work and dedication in making this happen."

The Professional Science Master's degree is an innovative two-year graduate degree designed to allow students to pursue advanced training and excel in science while simultaneously developing business skills. PSM programs prepare students for science careers in business, government and non-profit organizations. The programs are characterized by "science-plus," combining rigorous study in science or mathematics with skills-based coursework in management, policy or law.

Baker's MSIS online degree program emphasizes the strategic use of information systems in business while addressing critical business issues such as strategic planning, risk management, financial, project management and quality assurance.
