Baker College Center for Graduate Studies and Baker Online to Hold Graduation Ceremony
Baker MBA alumnus Philip Gerald Boysen, MD, to address grads
FLINT, Mich. - Baker College Center for Graduate Studies and Baker Online will hold commencement ceremonies Friday, June 15, at 7 p.m., at Whiting Auditorium in Flint. The 2007 Graduating Class of 1,001 distance learning candidates represents a Baker Online population of 50 states, 26 foreign countries, and several undisclosed military locations. Receiving diplomas will be 661 Baker Online undergraduates and 340 master of business administration graduates. Of those, 271 graduates will attend the graduation ceremonies in Flint, Michigan.

Philip Gerald Boysen, MD, a 2006 graduate of the Baker College MBA program, will provide the keynote address. Dr. Boysen, age 62, is the Executive Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine in North Carolina. He is a Senior Associate Fellow of the Academy of Educators and is a professor of anesthesiology and medicine. Dr. Boysen's career includes 30 years of professional accomplishments as a physician, health science educator, researcher and as a Designated Flight Surgeon as a Commander in the United States Navy. Boysen lives in Chapel Hill with his wife Roberta Jean.
