Baker College Center For Graduate Studies Appoints James A. Stahley As Professor Of Doctoral Studies

FLINT, Mich. - Baker College Center for Graduate Studies has named Dr. James A. Stahley as professor of doctoral studies. In his new position, Stahley will direct student research, develop and teach doctoral-level courses, and participate in the overall planning and direction of Baker's online doctorate of business administration (DBA) program.

"Jim brings a wealth of professional and educational experience to this position," said Michael Heberling, Ph.D., Baker College Center for Graduate Studies president. "He is the perfect candidate to move our new DBA program forward, and we are very pleased that he has joined the Baker College family."

Stahley joins Baker College Center for Graduate Studies from an online university, where he held several positions, including associate dean and program chair for the doctoral program in management. Stahley has more than 40 years of experience in the fields of higher education, engineering, design and total quality. He has held managerial and vice president-level positions in the United States and abroad at prestigious manufacturers including Unisys and General Electric.

Stahley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, a Master of Science degree in engineering from Alabama University at Huntsville, and a doctorate of philosophy in management from Walden University.

He is a senior member of the America Society of Quality (ASQ), a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), and an honorary member of Sigma Iota Epsilon Management Honor Society (SIE). Stahley was also a past senior examiner and judge for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Program.
