Computer Programming - Associate Of Applied Science Degree
Students in this program acquire skills in programming and systems analysis and design.
Instruction in multiple programming languages provides students with diverse and flexible
skill sets for employability in a variety of types of businesses and industries in positions
such as programmers, developers, and systems analysts.
Computer Programming: Java Option - Associate Of Applied Science Degree
Students in this program acquire skills in programming and systems analysis and design based
on the curriculum developed under the Sun/Java Academic Initiative. This program concentrates
instruction with the Java programming language while also introducing the student to C++ and
VisualBASIC programming concepts. The knowledge gained in this program provides students with
the skill sets for employability in a variety of types of businesses and industries in positions
such as programmers, developers, and systems analysts.
Computer Science - Bachelor Of Computer Science
This program is designed to work in conjunction with the associate degree choice of the student
to gain entry or increase his/her opportunity for promotion in his/her field. Students will
acquire skills in software development, Internet communications, network administration and
database administration, as well as foundational knowledge in the field of computer science.
Computer Information Systems - Bachelor of Computer Information Systems
This program emphasizes the application of computer systems to solve business problems.
Graduates of this program can be expected to pursue careers as programmers, programmer/analysts,
and systems analysts. This program is now offered in two formats, one for students without
college credit and the other for those with an IS or related Associate degree.
